Food and Toy Drive, benefitting Waite House
Food shelves are reporting their greatest shortages in years, and many caregivers are worried they won’t be able to provide holiday gifts to the kids in their lives. Recognizing the need is immense this holiday season, a group of community members is coming together to collect non-perishable food and (new) toys to benefit the families and individuals served by Waite House in South Minneapolis.
Stop by the St. Thomas the Apostle parking lot on December 16 from 10am-5pm, or December 17 from 10am-4pm, to drop off any items you are able to donate this year.
We want to extend a hearty thank you to the folks who are helping to put this event together: LHINC, Big Blue Boxes, St Thomas the Apostle Parish, Saint’s Men’s Club and Carondelet Catholic School. Perhaps most critically, a large collections container has generously been donated from the team at Big Blue Boxes.
