Hay Day
Saturday, October 24, 2015, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Linden Hills Village

The Linden Hills Business Association invites everyone to join its sixth annual Hay Day celebration.

Merchants will welcome young Hallowe’en-ers for trick-or-treating and scare-free fun. Face painters, photo opps, and special fall sales at area stores will round out the festivities.

Reindeer Day
Saturday, December 5, 2015, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Ring in the Season in Linden Hills!  Join us at 44th & France and 43rd & Upton for small town traditions and holiday shopping. Featuring: live reindeer, a barbershop quartet, horse-drawn wagon rides, Reindeer games for children, and Santa Claus himself!

Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival
Saturday, January 17, 2015, Noon-4:00 pm

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) will host the 13th Annual Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival on January 18, 2014. The Kite Festival will take place on the north end of Lake Harriet near the Bandshell, located at 4135 W. Lake Harriet Parkway. Free.

Kites of all shapes, sizes, colors and themes will fly over frozen Lake Harriet. But there’s more fun to be had on the ice – and even underneath it. Other fun family activities at the festival include ice fishing, horse-drawn wagon rides, snowshoeing, a children’s medallion hunt and a marshmallow roast.

Festival sponsors include the MPRB, Minnesota Kite Society, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fishing in the Neighborhood Program (FiN), East Harriet Farmstead Neighborhood Association (EHFNA), People for Parks, Linden Hills Neighborhood Council (LHiNC) and the Nicollet-East Harriet Business Association (NEHBA).

Celebrate the season with your neighbors at WinterFest, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Linden Hills Park, 43rd & Xerxes Ave. S.  Bring your friends and family to the park and enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, ice skating, music, and sledding.  Or just warm up with a hot beverage by the fire.  An evening of family fun!

Linden Hills Festivalgettin ready for the bike parade
Sunday, May 17, 2015, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Plan to join your neighbors at the Festival at Linden Hills Park on Sunday, May 20th! The day kicks off with a parade of wheels at 11:00 am, and the fun continues all day with pony rides, live music, face painting, games, a chess tournament, silent auction, art fair, and great Linden Hills food favorites! Spend the day with us!

Music and Movies at Lake Harriet Bandshell
Enjoy free concerts at the Lake Harriet Bandshell every day of summer, from Memorial Day through Labor Day. With the stunning backdrop of Lake Harriet, the band shell hosts musical concerts Monday through Saturday at 7:30 pm, and on Sunday at 2:00 pm and 5:30 pm. Bring a picnic and a blanket, or grab a bench and enjoy some summertime tunes with your family and friends. It’s a tradition!

The Movies in the Park series runs June through August on Friday nights at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. Movies begin 15 minutes after sunset.

Linden Hills Live
The third Thursday of the month, in June, July and August. 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Enjoy an evening of food, live music and conversation with your neighbors. This event takes place at 43rd St and Upton Ave in the Famous Dave’s parking lot.


Corn Feed
Thursday, August 6, 2015, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

The Big Corn Feed at Linden Hills Park. Family entertainment, music, face painting, concessions, amusements … corn!

Annual block party organized by Tilia. Music, food and fun for kids all day on the block of 43rd St in front of Tilia. Come early. Stay late!

Bring your furry friend to Linden Hills Village to make new friends! Woofstock is a day of leash, love and celebration, featuring exhibits, dog tricks, dogs in costume, and fun for all!

Fall Fest/ LHiNC Annual Meeting
Thursday, October 8, 2015, 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Linden Hills Park

Join your neighbors at Fall Fest, Linden Hills Neighborhood Council’s Annual Meeting and open house, featuring a celebration of fall. Stop down to meet current LHiNC board members, learn about neighborhood projects, and meet this year’s Linden Hills Neighborhood Treasures. While you’re there, cast a ballot for the upcoming LHiNC board term.
