The proposed plans for new parks in Southwest Minneapolis have been released. Here are the concepts for the Linden Hills neighborhood – including Linden Hills Park, Waveland Triangle, Linden Hills Blvd, and Dell Park. You can provide comments at one of the workshops listed below or online.

Over the past seven months, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board staff held 100+ public events to collect ideas and input from Southwest community members about local parks. Using this information and working with a design team, MPRB has developed initial concepts for every Southwest Minneapolis park.

The next step is to hold public workshops to ask people to view and comment on initial park design concepts. Each workshop includes kids’ activities and refreshments.

Park Design Workshops will be held on the following dates:

If you are unable to attend a meeting, all concepts will be posted to the SW Parks Plan project page ( on Jan. 31, along with a link to an online survey to provide feedback.
