MPRB Assists with Bde Maka Ska Name Change
In August, the Board of Commissioners of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board approved the renaming of parkways and park roads to conform to Bde Maka Ska. This change affected addresses on East and West Calhoun Parkway, Calhoun Drive, and Calhoun Boulevard East and West.
To assist property owners, MPRB staff coordinated directly with the following entities to facilitate the address changes for residents and properties affected:
- City of Minneapolis (Trash/Recycling and Water/Sewer)
- Hennepin County (Real Estate Recording)
- CenterPoint Energy (Gas)
- Xcel Energy (Electric)
- United State Post Office
