New Signs Highlight Trolley Path History
The next time you take a walk down the Linden Hills Trolley Path, you’ll notice some new signs installed along the path from Upton to Chowen. The eleven signs recount through pictures and text the history of the Minnesota Streetcar in this community.
The signs were a joint project between the Minnesota Streetcar Museum and LHiNC, which funded the project. Minnesota Streetcar Museum historian Aaron Isaacs selected photos from the museum’s collection, captioned them, and oversaw production and installation. “Each sign is placed, so the viewer sees the historic photo and current scene from the same angle,” said Isaacs.
A big thank you to Aaron Isaacs and the Minnesota Streetcar Museum for bringing this historic project to our neighborhood!
