LHiNC Launches Volunteer Site

Are you looking for a place to volunteer your time, or are you a non-profit in need of volunteers? LHiNC has launched an online volunteer portal to match volunteers from our community with volunteer opportunities in our neighborhood and across the Twin Cities.

Want to volunteer?

Right now, LHiNC has several volunteer opportunities through its community events, committees and volunteer groups. Click on the opportunity you are interested in to learn more and sign up. More volunteer opportunities to come.

  • Community Food Share with Camden Collective – Every second Saturday of the month, LHiNC is sending volunteers to participate in Camden Collective’s Community Food Share in North Minneapolis to distribute food to families. It’s a three-hour time commitment (11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) at Salem Church (4150 Dupont Ave N). Kids are welcome. Sign up here.
  • Preserve William Berry Woods – Volunteer stewards are making great progress removing invasive species in William Berry Woods, the beautiful natural area between Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska. Volunteers also remove trash and monitor and report vandalism. Join LHiNC’s volunteer group of stewards by signing up here.
  • Linden Hills Fall Festival – The success of LHiNC’s annual festival at Linden Hills Park depends on our terrific volunteers. Youth groups/teams, faith communities, families or individuals are encouraged to sign up. Volunteer areas include: set-up, teardown, food service, beer tent and zero waste. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. Specific shifts aren’t yet available, but sign up here so we can email you as soon as they’re posted.
  • Future Volunteer Opportunities – Don’t see a volunteer opportunity you’re interested in. Add your name to this list, so we can email you whenever new volunteer opportunities pop up.

In need of volunteers?

LHINC invites non-profit organizations and community groups to contact us with your volunteer opportunities. Just complete this online form.

From there, we’ll post your opportunity on our volunteer portal, which will be shared through our website and social media. Opportunities will also be sent to volunteers who have opted-in to receive them.
