Winter Kite Festival – Jan. 28

Lake Harriet/Bde Unma, near the bandshell
Head to the north end of the lake near the bandshell for the 21st Annual Winter Kite Festival, hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, Linden Hills Neighborhood Council and East Harriet Farmstead Neighborhood Association. This FREE outdoor, family event features huge kites from the Minnesota Kite Society, free s’mores sponsored by LHiNC, music, crafts and many more family-friendly activities. Getting there: FREE shuttles will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from the Calhoun Executive Center (3033 Excelsior Blvd); masks required. There will be no parking in the bandshell lot or on Linden Hills Blvd. between W. 40th and W. 43rd Streets. Please expect delays on W. Lake Harriet Parkway and allow ample time to find a spot and walk to the venue.
